The jungle's coming down

I took out my new weed whacker this aft and cut down the jungle that is my backyard. This tool is so much better than the ones I've used before. It usually takes me several runs and several stops and starts to get the backyard down, with the cord pulling loose and other little incidents. This one is more powerful and the cord lock actually works. What a difference. It still creates a lot of vibration that I have to hold in my hands and that gives my hands a bit of a workout, along with my back.

I still have the front to finish. The weed whacking part should be fairly easy. But then I should get out some hand tools to clean up more. I'm not terribly good at this sort of thing.

In case anyone's interested: the weedwhacker is the Black & Decker Grass Hog, electric, corded. About $50. 14".

When Black & Decker got into the small applicance business their reputation really plunged (bad stuff; I never buy it). So I was not at all sure I would be happy with this beast. But it's everything I could reasonably expect it to be for the type and price.
