I am listening to Barber's Adagio for Strings and, as usual, weeping. It is so beautiful. It doesn't matter how many times I hear it or in how many versions. I have a CD with nothing but this piece, in many different versions. The one with James Galway playing the flute - unusual but also beautiful. Could anyone not be affected by this?
