The Bluffs and Pirates Cove

My walk today was along the Bluffs trail and up to the parking lot above Pirates' Cove. The cove is a well-known nude beach, but I didn't see anyone indulging today. Just clothed persons. I have seen a few in the past, always men. Wandering around the beach naked. They probably had something to say and this was the only way they knew.

It took my 24 minutes to the parking lot and 20 minutes back. I'll be counting this as a longer trek for this week, will do something shorter tomorrow.

It occurred to me that this type hike is what feeds me. Viewing and feeling and absorbing the natural beauty. On my way home I popped in Leonard Cohen's CD again and knew I was indulging in another type of food for my soul. Altogether an enriching hike and drive home.
