My stomach hurts. That reminded me that it hasn't hurt for a while. Too much coffee? Could be.

That might go down well. Good thought!

With crushed ice, I seem to recall.

Hope you feel better soon.

No good. It may be diverticulitis again. Damn.
Jun. 1st, 2005 10:54 pm (UTC)
I'm so sorry.

Do you have a good movie to watch? Ghostbusters? It's pretty funny...

Wish I could help. Do you have some medication?

I'm feeling a little better for the moment, thank heaven. May the body stay this way.

What fixes diverticulitis is usually antibiotics. So if it comes back, gets worse, I'll be off to get some.

Thanks for your concern!

I'm glad you're feeling better, Judith. Sleep well!

Oh, ho! Ho! I just realized:

Your icon is a SIM!!!!!!

Yes. That's Super Size, the one I am trying to fatten up. She eats ALL the time. She eats fast, standing up. SHe's lazy, doesn't clean up. But she doesn't get any fatter than this. Dang!
Jun. 2nd, 2005 12:56 am (UTC)
Well, Damn her and all who are like her.
Jun. 2nd, 2005 01:32 am (UTC)
I so agree.
Jun. 2nd, 2005 05:10 pm (UTC)
LOL...maybe she's been hitting the "herb", and has the munchies?

Hope you are feeling better.
For diverticulitous, have you tried natural remedies that help boost the immune system?
Jun. 2nd, 2005 06:21 pm (UTC)
No, not for this. This is an inflammation of those little diverticuli, and I can't see how boosting the immune system would help. That is, what happens, as I understand it, is that some things get caught in the folds of the colon and sometimes cause an inflammation. I could be wrong about this - it wouldn't be the first time I had been misinformed by doctors.

In any case, I am not feeling any pain today. So I am hopeful that whatever it was is over.

Penicillian fights infection. Your body naturally can fight off infections most the time. Boosting your immune system may help, that was my thought. Have you tried taking adolphillous(sp) remedies? There are natural products that keep your colon in balanced health keeping the good bacteria thriving to deal with the bad. I swear by it.
Jun. 2nd, 2005 10:17 pm (UTC)
Well, although I agree in principle I don't quite see this a case of good and bad bacteria, but more a matter of those foods getting stuck, creating an irritation, and that leading to an infection.

I certainly eat my share of good yogurt! That is, with live cultures. I haven't taken acidophilus supplements, though, no.

If your colon is at optimum health and your immune system is at 100% if food jammed in the colon and did cause an irritation it might be minimal because of the healthier colon and if you did get an infection you might be able to fight it off without cillians because your immune system is at it's peak.

I dunno...maybe I'm nuts. Makes sense to me. =)

Hey, maybe you're right! I don't know enough about the details of this thing.
Jun. 2nd, 2005 06:23 pm (UTC)
Oh, and she eats all the time because I make her eat! The thing with sims is that they don't know when they are full. If they are told to eat they eat. So that's what I do with her. Just as an experiment. One I am getting ready to forget, though, considering I can't fatten her up any more than she already is.

Re: Feeling crummy
Fortunately, that did seem to be a minor thing. It was gone that night and so far hasn't come back. Whew. Thanks!
