Miller Library

Yesterday, on our trek up highway 1, Karen and I stopped at the Henry Miller library. It is located about four miles from where Miller lived at the end of his life. I had seen it on previous trips but it wasn't open or I wasn't able to stop. So this was a real treat for both of us.

At the entrance to the library is a cross made of computer monitors...

Inside are many books, painting, other interesting items, including a Swedish guy at the counter who was the subject of discussion in the car later. For a while there I thought we might have to turn around and go get him.

I bought a cool T-shirt and a copy of a "welcome" message Miller had handwritten. I'll stop there again.
