Karen and I had dinner at Cugini's, then stopped at a T-mobile place to ask some questions, and finally ended at the Grange Hall for the comedy show. Most of the comedians were just awful, and the MC didn't know when to shut up. But there was one comic who was really good. Freaky and strange and very physical and even a little frightening, but so very good. Intelligent and creative and quite a singular talent. I think that one was worth the low ticket price, but even without him it was a hilarious event. So homespun and so much that was bad that at some points the audience was funnier. Hell, *I* was funnier. At times I felt we were in an alternate universe, especially when I looked over at an older couple to the left of us. They were cracking up and seemed to have their own inside hilarity going on. I thought, for some reason, of Minnesota. Like we'd been transported into a mockumentary.
