Volunteer exhaustion. Yesterday afternoon I put in about 90 minutes or more calling people for Peg the Candidate, then this morning I wore myself out at Pumpkins at the Pier. I just got back from that little event, where I served as official photographer and pumpkin judge. As photographer I took pictures of anyone who wanted a pic, with Frankenstein and a hay bale. My partner and I were into our third roll of film when I had to run off to judge. Judging those pumpkins was just plain difficult and it took us a while to figure out how to get it done quickly, meaning we didn't get it done quickly but would know how next year. In between these activities I slipped to other parts of the event and took pictures and more pictures.

I have the camera set to take pix at a  high resolution so I have more options in cropping and playing with the images. So even though the memory card is large (256 mgs) I do get to the end of it fairly quickly when I have events to cover. What with Halloween and a ribbon-cutting yesterday and the pumpkins today I had to delete images frequently. Fortunately, only images I had already uploaded to my laptop. I look forward to dumping this latest batch later today and seeing what I have.

Right now, though, I need to rush off to the box office to buy tickets for a concert tonight. Cal Poly Choirs. karen is coming with me. Whew. It will be nice just to enjoy what someone else is doing.
