I hiked with Karen this morning, nice hike near the ocean. Not much elevation gain but lots of sand. It got my heart rate up and we got a few pix. Very cool indeed.
Then I got my hair highlighted and cut. Nice job, although I'll know better when I let it dry naturally tomorrow. Marika, the hairdresser, blew it smooth just to see how that would look, but said it would do well air-dried, will be curly and good. I hope so. In any case, I remembered how fast she was and I was right. I was done in just over an hour. I do not know anyone else who can zip those foils through so fast. I love it when it's so fast! Yet we talked. About weddings - she just got married this past year, and to a mechanic at Sunset Honda, where I bought my darling new car! She said he loves working there, that the owners are wonderful, the spirit and ethics are wonderful, all of which I had indeed figured out but it's great to hear that coming from another side.
I went downtown after the blow-dry job, had a latte, found myself in places where there were many people yet I did not speak to any. That's typical, actually, of my trips downtown. I rarely see anyone I know and rarely see occasion to strike up conversations with strangers.
Home again and I have been futzing around since. Early this morning I got started on my 1999 taxes but I did not go any further with that later. I may yet.
