The Tour

i had a good time being a tourist yesterday, along with 16 others from Pismo (including wives & husbands). We saw the film: "Building the Dream", about the building of Hearst Castle, in the extraordinary theater there - it's IMAX and now that I see how it is I want to go back. And we went on tour #1, and then we hopped on the bus again and went to Eberle Vineyards for wine tasting and a tour of the wine cellars.

The tour of the cellars was odd. A lot what you'd expect - cool darkish places with big barrels of wine aging. But then there is this one room they use for special dinners. They have special dinners once a year for wine people. They fly in chefs from different parts of teh world, usually three of them, have wine with each course, and it costs $95 - $105
each. For what they get it actually sounds reasonable. I mean, the special chefs and wine and so on. They eat in a room in the cellar. Candles on the walls, christmas lights on little trees. It looks really weird! Like some sort of ritual is performed there!

I kept the wine tasting down because it was affecting me, so I was dumping it in the pot after taking a taste, but even so felt a little affected. Later, when I got home, I ate what was left of the snacks I brought with me. So I woke up with a headache. Now I am trying to get going.
