I am nearly settled in now and It's better than before. Better because I knew it would be and had thought about the move before. I just didn't know how soon we would be accomplishing it.
We do this here a lot. Decide to do something on the spur of the moment and then just do it. I find the contrast with the way it worked in SLO very funny at times. Every move there is programmed, analyzed, drawn in triplicate, before it actually happens. That way, presumably, the potential problems are identified before the work is done. In real life that isn't exactly true, but it's a nice illusion.
Whereas here we just do it and if we run into a problem we do something else. It makes for an entertaining workplace and I like that.
