We are bringing food so we don't have to eat out at all if we don't feel like it, although we may well want to on one of the nights. Steve will probably stock the fridge as well, and he always has cans of Campbell's soup (silly) to go with the fifties theme.
I'll have my laptop and I can plug in so won't be entirely out of touch.
Just thinking about it, though, warms my heart. Spending such quiet time there, reading, writing, thinking. Maybe I'll bring a few videos, too, something good I've wanted to watch. Or not. Maybe we'll go to one of the nearby hot springs resorts and soak a while. The water is wonderfully clear and free of smell, beautiful beautiful stuff. I'm so surprised that more people aren't really aware that this is one of the best sources of clean hot mineral water anywhere, much better than what we have here on the central coast. The town there doesn't even have to chlorinate it for drinking.
If I had a few thousand dollars I would seriously look at buying some land there. It is bound to increase in value and I might even want to move there someday.
