I am not in a hurry. Another option is to do the bone grafting again, exactly the same as before - but at no additional cost to me. I went for this. I want as much a chance at success as I can get, and I can use the additional time to find the money for the implants.
I am scheduled to go in on April 1 for the surgery. This means going home with painkillers and ice packs and laying low the rest of that day, eating soup and other liquid things, trying not to move my mouth much. I think I know enough this time to be extremely careful that day and the following several days. I can't say I look forward to undergoing the surgery again but I am such an old hand at it I could almost perform it myself.
