This is not happening.

I found some caramels on Elsa's desk. I thought I'd have one. I bit into it and my other bridge popped loose. The one on the left side of my mouth. I cleaned off as much caramel as I could (I need to work on that more) and pushed it back in place and called the dentist's office. The person who answered was not the right assistant, so she is having the right one call me back. So that's where it is...I may be spending more time at the dentist's office this afternoon.

Re: These Dentists!
Amazingly enough, I do. I have been with my primary dentist for over 20 years, and he has always been careful, considerate, competent, way better than average. I have no complaints about the dental surgeon I just went through hell with. He did everything in his power to make the trip as easy as it could be. I don't know how I'd handle having a dentist I didn't trust! That would be the worst.

Re: These Dentists!
yes, there is an amazing preoccupation with teeth here. My own daughter has used the bleaching compounds and has fluorescent teeth, I swear. I don't see the need, myself.

I am bothered by the movies where the down-and-out persons have perfect, shiny white teeth. It seems like the directors should try a little harder to get a little realism in there.

Re: *gasp*
It had not occurred to me that this might happen, so I was not prepared.

The re-cementing went smoothly. I got in at 4:30 last night and was out by 5:30, most of the time waiting for one thing or another. Much easier job than the other dental experiences I've recently lived through. Thank heaven.
