Thanksgiving day

We are all in Desert Hot Springs. Didn't get in until ten-ish last night. Mary and I stopped several times along the way, looking for shoes for Mary because she neglected to bring anything but shower shoes. We got somewhat waylaid by clothing racks at thrift stores and cheap stores. We also ran into a fair amount of traffic, as expected.

It's beautiful here. The temperature seems perfect, the mountains are clear, there is a slight breeze. I understand the wind is expected to pick up later this afternoon.

I saw three rabbits run across the road right after I turned on the last road to the motel. This morning I saw a road runner actually running across the road. The other species that is out today is the Bargain Hunter. All over K-Mart, which has Thanksgiving Day specials. Getting a jump on the competition, if they can, I guess. We were there, too, buying things we forgot to bring with us.

We are going into Palm Springs in a little while, after Elaine's nails dry. Then we'll go to Steve's other motel at four, have a veggie thanksgiving dinner, along with the other guests. We met the other guests this morning when Joey wandered to their door, knocked, introduced himself, came in and started telling them his life story. They are from Arizona, came here Monday, are two elderly women.

Mary has to work Saturday so I don't get to stay as long as I wanted. Sigh. Maybe one day I'll just come here by myself. It's a thought. I love having my family here, today. It's a real pleasure, so nice.

Briefly: Since 'todoharm' 'friended' 700 journals, inclusding myself, and refused to budge until we got into guerolla war tactics, he has been replaced by 13 other 'pseudo russians' among which is one called 'fuckoff2000' so last_journal is deleted while I figure a way round this. This morning I couldn't use it anyway it was insisting I log on to every page and with every click. I notice at least two other journals have decided to delete but I didn't know them...I'll see what happens next, maybe leave it awhile and set up from scratch. So far the biog seems uninfrcted by cossacks.

How did this happen? Did this person and others break into the code and change what you'd written? Or what?

No he did nothing. He was Just There. As the first journal was Private, actually to be shared with one ather, to log on and see 'todoharm' was not conducive to a good atmosphere. He neither said nor did anything but neither would he leave - although asked, (in some cases begged by others) until 12 took his place.

I'm sorry if I seem clueless. I don't understand how he was "there" if he "didn't do anything". What did you see? read? How did this 'todoharm' person represent himself?

Judith. Why the interrogation? He 'friended' me. Therefore his name met me every time I logged on.
Is that enough? Shall I write a thesis?

I really didn't understand what you meant. So you mean he put you on your friends list. So you saw his name on your "profile" page. And that journal is private. Is that it? It wasn't that he did anything like hack into your journal, go where he was not allowed. But it seems a name like "todoharm" certainly indicates something.

I did say I was sorry for seeming clueless. I really did not know what you meant about his "just being there". I ask these questions because I want to understand exactly what happened.

I looked him up. He has deleted most of his entries. What's funny to me is that a bunch of people wrote in his journal, asking who he is, and saying that because he added them to his friends list that they would add him. So now he has a long list of people who have him on their list but he has deleted all of them from his list.

It looks, from the list, like a random collection of names running from A to Z. What a strange thing.
