Carter's peace prize

I realize that Carter's legacy is not entirely pure, but neither is anyone's. I honestly believe he has worked hard and with integrity to further peace in this world. He hasn't minded lending his famous name where it was needed, realizing it would help where anonymity would not.

The timing of this prize and the comments by the Nobel committee chair are heartening signals to me of a rising willingness to speak out against the invasion of Iraq.
