toughness

When I visit Upper Michigan in the winter I feel tough, strong, able. Living in that environment can be good for self-confidence. The reason I don't move there, though, is that it also can feel like a prison. Hard to get out of, stuck with people who are not like me, who don't talk.

Hiking makes me feel tough, too. It's easier to do that than to move to Michigan.
