I ordered a new photography book while on my crazed camera-ordering kick. The book arrived today. The camera has not yet arrived, is expected in a couple of days. This may be a good thing. I am sucking up the book already. It's a substantial book, I am happy to say. I expect it to get a lot of use.

But the real news is that I have finally gotten one of my "beautiful" sims to mate with a deliciously ugly sim. I have been trying forever to get him interested in her and finally she won him over. She had his baby shortly after, although it took two tries, and now she's on a roll. She made it to bed with yet another wonderfully ugly sim. I don't know yet if it "took".

This is a "challenge" family. I start with a beautiful sim and through successive generations, all mated with "townies" or "NPCs", I hope to produce an ugly sim. I am giving myself ten generations and have developed rules for  the challenge. This particular sim is the second generation and she is unfortunately still quite beautiful, so I have been excited at these developments. I don't yet know how the babes will turn out, though.
