Something got into my computer. Spyware. It replaced my wallpaper with a web page that says "Your computer is infected!" and has a link to "highly rated spyware removal programs". Ha. I ran one spyware detection program and got rid of the program that had installed itself but it did not remove that wallpaper and all of the usual techniques don't seem to get at it. I am currently running another program. Both recommended by gizmo, the tech guy...oh wait...it worked!! It cleaned it up! Ihave my personal wall paper back!

I read an interesting article in the Atlantic recently, about the possibility that a belief in God is...accidental...related to evolution. While I don't remember the train of reasoning, the article got me thinking. I am always trying to find order where there probably is none. For example, I have a ridiculous notion that I am  going to live to a ripe old age. There is nothing to assure this end for me. I am reasonably healthy but I could be hit by a falling satellite tomorrow. There is no rhyme or reason to it.

I think that this thinking may eventually free me.

Physically, this was a good day. I went swimming at about 11:00 this morning, had a lane to myself (a huge plus in itself), and only toward the end did I feel any kind of discomfort in my legs. Most of the time they were fine with what I had them doing. Then I went to the market for a few things, had coffee at the bean, went home, made crock-pot chili, beebopped around, cleaning the microwave and the coffee maker and washing clothes, in addition to going a few rounds with my sims - all  of whom are having babies.  I noticed a little bit ago that I was not in pain while doing these things, and getting up and getting down was not as hard as it usually is. So it's been a good day.
