First meeting of the master chorale last night. I carpooled with James, my neighbor, who successfully auditioned a week ago. He is so excited and committed! He asked me about voice teachers and when I said we had just been talking to one, he sought her out and arranged to meet and discuss voice lessons. He wants to return to his "true tenor" voice. I have no doubt he will be a huge asset to the choir. He is also familiar with the works we'll be doing this coming spring, which sound incredibly exciting and fun to do. Stravinsky, for one, Les Noces - the Wedding.

I worked through my normal lunch and left a little after two. I came home, fooled around a bit, then changed and did a FIRM video. One of their more beginner-types, which is what I need right now. The hover squats...well, I really couldn't do them, so I stayed at a hover for a bit, just didn't sit back down and get back into a hover. One thing at a time, is what I say. Getting down on the floor, doing pushups, doing the leg things on the bench, all tests of my knees, but somehow I did what I had to do to get through. My injured arms, particularly the right one, were complaining about this or that move. My body is such a mess!

The American Candidate

I am hooked on this show. I am caught up in the lives of the individuals. I have my favorites and my least favorite.

What's so fascinating is that the person who keeps coming across as most presidential, most powerful, is the gay black man. I think it's hilarious, really. But more than that. Keith really is The Man.
