Teeth cleaning first thing today. Next week, implants. Later today, work on report for next council hearing, finish home occ info, then off to see Jill. Dance at night.
This weekend: so far, kayaking Sunday. Maybe that will be all.
I have seen hints of what some people do with trash and thrift shop finds, and I can only shake my head and wonder. I think you need to have a large house to accommodate weird "found objects" just to look at, or to use old suitcases for coffee tables and things like that.
But the prize for decorating goes to my periodontal dentist's office.
It doesn't matter what time of year it is, the demons of decor get going in there. They use the ribs that hold up the ceiling panels to tie decorations from strings. They stream decorative ribbons onto coat racks. Today, when I walked into the waiting room, my attention was caught by the Halloween-themed textiles spread over the couches and chairs, and little pumpkin pillows. Along with an incredible collection of little Halloween figurines, the bats and stars hanging from the ceiling, some kind of thing taking up every possible space.
The hygienists never seem to know who does it. My long-standing hygienist, who has gone on to greener retirement pastures, would comment on the absurdity of it all, but she had no idea who actually entered every single room and decked it out so thoroughly. The stream of hygienists I have had over the years have been similarly mystified, but today Stephanie said "they", and for the first time I realized maybe it isn't just one person.
