At this point, the surgery only bothers me in two ways: the bone under the gum tissue - the jaw, I guess - gets sore frequently. I have to rinse with warm salt water after eating and before bed, and I have started to rinse with periodent as well, an extra-strength bacteria fighter. And of course eating is still problematic, still mainly a matter of eating in the middle of my mouth. I've been eating way too much ice cream.

It all certainly *looks* a lot better. And I can open my mouth more when I speak, don't have to mumble and I can laugh without much pain.

It also feels non-threatened, like the stitches are not going to come loose. I worry less each day about that.
