Early. I think I slept well. Yes. I am fretting over money again. Finding out Mary borrowed the $400 I had given Elaine for France, and now Elaine needs it, and I don't have an extra $400 to throw her way...Mary said she'd get some money into her account as soon as she can, and I hope she does that.

There are times I feel on edge, at odds with my world, anyone's world. Today is like that. I went to the farmers market and bought some fresh veggies, then went to Morro Bay for a change. I had coffee at an espresso place, sat in the patio there a bit, watched the people. I took my cup to the streets, wandered around downtown MB, which is not looking any better than the last time I looked. The other coffee place nearby also had many patrons, most of them in a circle. Must have been a kind of meeting. That seemed nice, that these folks would get together, I am assuming for a kind of companionship, sharing. Maybe they are actually just carping. I don't know.

I then wandered past the many antique and art shops and back to my car circuitously, and went to Flippo's skate harbor. Asked about skating lessons. There are "all-age" classes from 11:30 to 12:00 Sat mornings, $5.00, show up fifteen minutes ahead to sign up. Otherwise lessons for adults would have to be private. I am tempted to give it a try, even though I see myself among a bunch of midgets. I want to find out if I can pick myself up if I fall down. THat sounds simple enough but that's what kept me from making any progress several years ago, when I last tried skating.

My fingers smell of cilantro. Nice. Fifty cents for a bunch.
