More Death to the Meerkats

I caught up on two more episodes of Meerkat Manor tonight and was treated to more death. Carlos, former romantic interlude for various Whiskers females, had become the dominant male of a new group, the Starsky. With Kinkachoo as dominant female (after she beat out Mozart by killing Mozart's babies, we will recall). A wound that Carlos had gotten some time ago broke open and became infected and he lost strength and quite dramatically died. It was as rich as an opera, and I was just as affected.

But that wasn't enough. In the following episode, Flower and a small gang get separated from the rest of the Whiskers and while the rest take on care of Flower's two babies, one of the babes is carried away by a hawk and the other is finally left in the desert to die. Hard times, hard choices.

Will Flower return? Will order be restored? Will there be more babies with better outcomes? I don't know how long I will wait to find out. These episodes are hard!
