Ever since I bought a pack of evert-fresh bags from reusablebags.com I have noticed a dramatic change in what I eat. These bags keep veggies and fruit from going bad for quite a while. I am able to buy the larger size package of fresh broccoli florets from Costco, can keep carrots for what seems like months, can bite into an apple well after you'd think it had shriveled up and died. So not only am I saving money on vegetables, but because I can count on these veggies and fruits being fresh for a long time I tend to cook with them more often. I don't have to pull out bags of slimey greens and toss them into the trash.

I have no connection to the company that makes the bags (a fair trade company) or to reusablebags.com. I make no money from any promotion of their goods. I love these products so much, though, that I give them as gifts. I want everyone to know.

And so. If you want to try out some of these bags just send your name and address to judith dot lautner at gmail dot com and I will send you a ten-pack of the small size.

Hmm, those look interesting.

My stomach has made it abundantly clear to me that it LOVES fruits and veggies and will not cause me pain if I give it what it loves (damn stomach). If I combine fresh bag usage with my tactic of not refrigerating apples (and the like--since if I see them more, I'll eat them more) my stomach will be in heaven!

Though all the wasted produce does go in our compost bin, so it's not as big a waste as the trash.

And if you want a pack of ten free!!! just send me yo' address!

Speaking of apples. I used to eat only the very fresh, crisp ones. The ones that had been off the tree a while just didn't cut it. I've gotten over that pickiness. If they aren't rotten I'll eat them.

Thank you!!! Produce is the most difficult to keep fresh so I rarely ever have any around but with Summer coming this sounds like a great solution. I just ordered a bunch. Thank you.

That's so great! These have made a huge difference for me. It's like having a fresh produce market next door.

That's funny. I was just going to post about those. You gave me a bunch of them for Christmas and I've used them ever since. They really work. It's amazing. I was going to post in my blog about them today but I had so much other stuff to post about... They're great. Thank you.

I just gave a bag of the small ones to my friend Karen the other day. I think they make a great, if unusual, gift. Not exactly pretty, but inexpensive and for most people a real treat once they try them.
