Adding tired to tired. Frank Lloyd Wright loved that phrase and used it a lot in his autobiography. I for one tired of him.

Today, though, I am adding tired to tired and I'm glad it's friday. Yesterday, all day, I spent in an "Advanced CEQA Workshop" in San Luis Obispo. The workshop was for practitioners in the fine art of environmental analysis in California (CEQA stands for California Environmental Quality Act). I found the workshop useful and did not actually get worn down until the later afternoon. The topics covered then were beyond my interest, yet I figured I'd stick it out, see if I might cull a bit of wheat from the chaff. Got out at 4:30, maybe a bit later.

Then I went, with James, to see The Crucible, at Cal Poly. I like this play and read it only a few years ago, so it was still fresh in my head. I found I was more forgiving of the young actors than were the gang of acting students I went with - James is in an acting class and they gathered to get discounts and sit together. It's a long play and heavy with archaic language construction, and I felt that many of the actors were in over their heads. The outstanding actor among them was an older man with a lot of experience. I'd love to see him again.

You might like the opera of "The Crucible" by Robert Ward, it's awesome.
