Tempting fate, I swam yesterday and today, and did flip turns both times. Yesterday my left leg was stiff and painful throughout the swim, although not debilitatingly so. It reminded me of when I first started swimming again, last November. Today it was still painful but the pain went away partway through, then returned somewhat near the end. Overall an improvement. And today I did 21 flip turns, some of which actually started to seem about right, if slow. Thinking about the turns made the time more interesting.  I also threw in one length of "sprinting", which for me really just means making more noise and splash in the water and not going much faster. But hey. I figure if I do those periodically, gradually more of them in a swim, that will increase muscle strength and endurance.

All in all I am pleased.
