The LA Times had an article about the Oscar nominees - ahead of news on Bush's stupid, lying speech last night - and the first line of the article says the five best-picture nominees are films most people haven't seen.

I have seen three of the five! Crash, Good Night, and Good Luck, and Munich. I had intended to see a fourth, Capote, but in spite of the controversy wasn't particularly interested in Brokeback Mountain. I think these are terrific nominations. Crash is probably the weakest of the group but worth seeing. The article was a bit on the negative side - how will we attract viewers?? Oh, for heaven's sake.
