No workout yesterday. And today my knee isn't as stiff. So that's good.

I did work on 2001 taxes, then moved to some web stuff and then to an idea I had: a T-shirt. I borrowed liberally from the feminist T-shirt I like so much:

I may make a few more changes before I print it on a decal, but I like it now.

I like it too. I suggest variations emphasising the colors red, white, and blue. I'd buy one.

Funny. I thought I had already replied to this.

Thanks! I agree. I tried out some alternatives in the flag colors, following your suggestion. Now I am wondering if the type size is too small for the smaller words. Just to see what they look like:

Hmm. Perhaps one size up. (On the other hand, I like the word "Liberal" grabbing the attention first.) What's the font?

I did add a new one, larger font size, don't know if that's the one you saw.

The font is poster bodoni, stretched and contracted variously. Perhaps a little more stretching of "liberal" would finish it off.

i like it! i like someone else's suggestion to play up the red, white & blue, too. maybe the "what a" part can have white stars on blue?

That's a good idea. I tried out the red-white-blue idea in cafepress (no stars yet). You can see a few items there:

I had a terrible time coming up with a name because the good ones are taken. So that comes from "bleeding heart liberal" of course.

I think the multicolored one has a place, too, so I might add that. And when I look at those items, I wonder if the type size for the smaller words is too small. What do you think?

I tried stars of different sizes, a random arrangement, and it seemed too cluttered to me. I do have one version on the cafepress site. I think it's one of the colored shirts. I used blue stars on a white background and I felt that on white it wouldn't show up well at all.

I'm pretty happy with one of the versions. I am thinking maybe the red and blue could be darker, though.
