Active tongue

I talked to Dr L. He said there isn't anything we can do about the stitching today, that it will be okay, just try to keep that part of my mouth inactive today and we'll see what's up tomorrow morning. I mentioned that I thought I worked it during the night, that my tongue got to the stitches. He said yes, I have an "active tongue". They had quite a time with this tongue during the surgeries, trying to keep it out of the way.

The things we learn about ourselves. I am a big saliva generator and I have an active tongue. I don't know if this tongue thing is a good, bad, or indifferent thing in terms of my health, but I can see it isn't helping me heal this thing. I do feel better, just having talked to the dentist.

Joey is brushing his hair, looking at himself in a hand-held mirror, quite enthralled. Not that he hasn't seen mirrors before, but I think he hasn't spent much time experimenting with moving mirrors and seeing what is to be seen in them when he moves them around. I really love watching how he learns.

I'm sorry your stitching broke, egads! Every time I read 'active tongue' in your LJ I bite mine! *laugh*
