The trip south: crossing books

Last Friday I stopped in Ventura to check out Latte 101, where I hoped to find a bookcrossing zone. And indeed I did. There is a bookshelf, the top part of which is given over to bookcrossing books. There were several on the shelf already, not really room for my little stash. I chose two from the bunch that was there and left several of mine, rather piled up. It's a nice little coffee place that appears to have a devoted following.

I would love it if there were a bookcrossing zone near me. It needs to be a business and the owner needs to be up for it. I don't have any special relationships with any business owners or managers of coffee places or other businesses that would be appropriate. I think I will print out some bookcrossing zone info so I can offer it if a good opportunity arises.

Nice blog
Great BookCrossing mention, thanks! Don't let the fact you're not really close with any of the local coffee shop, pub owners stop you...just explain to them or another shop you do feel closer to the employee's and once you explain what BookCrossing is all about, most willingly accommodate you! Thanks again,
