Blue feet

Today, at last, I stopped at a nails place to get a pedicure. Partway through, the person doing it asked if I wanted a "standard" or "deluxe" pedicure. I went deluxe. My feet were in such bad shape. I then went through the blues.

First there was the blue salt scrub. I recognized the feel and look of it, except for the color, because I have used salt scrubs from time to time. Following the salt was the blue clay. this went on my feet only, while my calves were massaged with some sort of blue gel. After the clay came off my feet, too, went with the blue gel stuff. It was only at the very end of the massage portion that my person went for an off-white lotion, which she rubbed into my feet.

My feet feel soft to the touch now, including the calloused areas, which were gently sanded and then scrubbed with yet another blue compound. Worth it. So worth it.

It was a very good thing. There is $8 difference between the standard pedi and the deluxe and the deluxe really offers so much more. I suspect I will always go this way. Maybe even add in the paraffin dip sometimes, although that moist effect doesn't seem to last very long.
